Diatom algae problem

Personally I would assume that the blockage rate is increased due to hybridization. Just remember, just because they look similar on the outside does not mean that their insides will match up. So when ya hybridize them together the genes don't quite know where to put what. I think it would be allot like combining the blueprints for 2 different houses together and seeing what happens. Sure the external designs may be the same but the internal structures could be totally different and possibly clash against one another.
I always hear about flowerhorns having such bad digestive tracks and problems digesting to the point that every now and then a pea has to be fed but with daisy, I’ve yet to see a digestive problem, he digests things extremely fast, much faster than any fish I’ve kept before but other than that there’s been nothing

Some have it worse then others granted diet has allot to do with it too. Allot of ppl feed theirs an almost all protein based diet, which does work for growing out the juvi's, but starts to work against them later on once the fish starts reaching puberty. FH's need a more herbivorous diet once they hit the 3.5-4in mark otherwise they start to get digestive issues once they get older. They then become prone to constipation and anal prolapses.
