Did any of you guys ever get sidetracked with fishkeeping?

I think I can speak for the rest of the forum when I say: Yes, we all have at one time or another. Although fishkeeping is a beautiful and fun hobby, there are things in life that are just more important.

Yea when I get off from a 10 hour day my fish relax me. Absolutly 100% stress free


And agreed much disrespect to the hobby, what a lame thread, I have all the love in the world for my gf but she knows fk is my hobby and joy and that is that.

I do get side tracked..Im lucky enough to get my other half addicted as I am to fish tanks to the point that he has a few of his own tanks ^_^ hes really sweet and we have 11 tanks most of them in our bed room!.

but as summer gives us nice days we have been busy and have other things to do, but i always feed and do my water changes...we just don't sit and watch them as much in the summer. ^_^

-cough cough- women like monsters too, fellas! What distracted me from the hobby was losing my piranhas, and then my home shortly after. I've been trying to get back on my feet for the last 4 years. Also, parenting makes money real tight. I'm taking a real risk that I might have to give up my knife, turtles, rabbits, and cats. My fiance and I are looking for a place now, and once we get that squared away, it'll be stability for all of us...

I've been keeping fish since I was 9 since the day I've started I've never let my fish go even threw high school I told all my girls straight up my fish come first if you can't deal with that take a hike I'll find some one else my fish will never go anywhere and my girlfriend now went from hating them to actually liking them just as much as me now she drags me to the fish store lol I've never not had fish since I've started and never taken a break from it I'll have fish till the day I die and wouldn't want it any other way!!!!!

I won't get "bored" with any of my fish. I have always been extremely fond of all types of animals. Ever since I was little. I gurantee I won't get "bored" with the fish hobby. I find fish to be one of the most intriguing living animals out there! Great to keep and to watch <br />

Yeah lol when I would bring girls back to the house I walk down to my fish room and some girls would just be at such a lose of words and so shocked they wouldnt want to be in that room lol and others would find it so amazing it can have so many different effects on people especially girls the way they think lol
