Did any one hate fish at first and then grow to love them?

I originally was irritated by my bros obsession with fish since I was buying all his stuff, but then the challenge and fun of raising fish grew on me.

I only got into fishkeeping about 6 months ago. I saw how much my brother was into it, so I got hyped to try it to. Now, I have spent thousands of dollars and work at a LFS part-time. :headbang2

I didn't like fish at first when I had little 10 gallon tank so I got rid of it. A few years ago, I got another 10 and then my friend talked me into getting a 75g and the addiction started. Midas were the fish that really got me into fishkeeping when I got my 75...

I couldn't care less about fish when i was a kid. Had a loser step dad who had some fish and wanted me to get into them with him.. he had an aro and 2 oscars plus a large mouth bass in 1 40 gallon. What a loser now that I look back at it.. The fish died/killed eachother by the way. Now i love fish being in my 20s and I cant wait for my very own fish room with 3-5 tanks!

Actually, the 4 feeder goldfish I have, I have began to like them. Been starving my fish for awhile to get it off feeders. Now I am starting to like the goldfish, theyre very healthy right now and they even know me because they come to the glass and look at me.

I dont know if I should keep them or feed them to my fish later on perhaps.

always loved fish my mates dad had two oscars and a red devil we used two netting down the creek for guppies whan i was seven upwards now i still love it .my girlfriend never knew anthing about fish but now is hooked breeding angels and desert gobies her first love for fish was the rtc you see beside this by my name

I was always interested in fish, but never really though about getting into it. Then one day I though, I have some free time, it would be fun. Now I'm an addict.

goldfish get a bad rap. they are almost always everyone's first fish as a kid.common goldfish are hearty and good looking.in my late twenties,my room mate decided we needed a hobby...we began a 55 gallon fancy goldfish tank with everything bought cheap at walmart. we were so good at it we began selling our fry to the pet shops.
we bred some stunning shubunkins and did not even know how we got such good looking babies! that sealed it for me- i realized there is more to fish keeping than just throwing some goldfish in a tank.we were mentally, physically and creatively challenged! we began to even fish for our own pets...catching nice green & blue breem and baby turtles in the nearby lakes. so i hate it when people diss goldfish, they are like ' gateways ' to true addiction!
