Did anyone else has experienced thi?

If you ae into keeping geographically biotopes (and there are good reasons to do so), for that reason alone , oscars and GTs don't belong in the same tank.
You might say, but they are both from S America! ......... yes its true, ..........but
Oscars are from east of the Andes, an area rife with cichlids that live in large populations of diverse cichlid species groupings, and more accustomed to a communal life style.
GTs on the other hand are from west of the Andes, an area where they are often the only cichlid species in their habitat.
So to a GT, any other cichlid would a territorial threat, a competitor for meager resources, there to be vanquished.
You would never find GTs and oscars together in nature, unless artificially placed there by man.
