Did I do the right thing? ****Load with Pictures****

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wether or not it was the right thing or not depends on how much you talked him down in price, I know I'm going to get heat for this but the fish does look healthy and he was in there for six months? how big was the sump? maybe he was ok in there if he still looks like that. Also you seid you told the owner he had droop eye and swam weird when he really didnt; what that boils down to is you lied to him and made a false complaint to get a great looking silver at a discounted price. how much did you pay for him would make a big differance cuz if he was asking too much he would have been in there alot longer than 6months in which case it was definatly the right thing to do. just my two pennies.

First off there is no lie to the owner. When I saw the aro I only saw from the top of his body. He was in underground sump (roughtly about 75g) sump space at the back room of the store. Lots of current flow in there so I didn't see how was his condition. All I think was getting this guy out from the sump. Of course EVER one want low price for everything. Im not planning to keep the Aro because of my tank only 180g, but would be much better then in the sump.

Im 100% sure that I know I can find him a good and big home that's why i take him home. The only reason why he's in good condition was it was a clean water sump.

The bottom line is i got him out from there, now he's eating so he will go to his new and permanent home.

Thanks for your 2 cent.:D

Went in a LFS store yesterday they got nothing special in stock. So I asked the employee there when can they get some good fish in like big Aro, Dats, and other oddballs. They couldn't get any of those in for a while now, but he have mention that they got almost 24" Silver Aro outback where he's in a sump :WHOA: I was like WTF?? 24" Silver Aro in the sump for a good 6months or so. He was to big to put him in the tank out side, so they have to put him in the sump at the back room. :WHOA:

I really feel bad for the poor fish and ask them how much they want him for. Not mention any price but yes a LFS so it's very overprice. So I complain about him being in there for 6month, complain that he has drope eyes (he doesn't but LFS don't know about arowana), complain about he doesn't swim.

About an hour talking to the owner to lower the price down, I got him to where is reasonable price but it's still expensive.

So I toke the guy home and here he is.

NO Eyes drop, Perfect condition, very active and swiming all over the place. He's in 180g for now untill I find him a bigger home. 180g is better the a sump at LFS. Did I do the right thing?:D

also my collection.

see the underline section, thats where I felt there was a deception, maybe you just figured he has dropeye cuz you couldnt really see him, either way its a great looking aro, great score hope you find him a good home.

ahahhahalol....

That's is the main reason why i toke the aro because i owe hotfish and promise her to look out for it. The aro will go to hotfish 300g plus tank this weekend.

I just feel bad for the aro in there...so doesn't matter he look good or not he deserve to be in better place.:D

Oh man, that new pickup is beautiful. I must have missed your thread where you got that jardini as well. That also looks crazy nice.

Thats too many aros sticky. Dats take up less space. Bring me that Lei!!! LOL jk the combo looks good
