Ah crap. I knew this was a bad idea not having the full size tank when I bought it. I had never even once thought of putting an aro in that tank. I kept saying I would wait forever until I had a huge pond where they could all swim freely, but I just didn't want it to go to this guy's 55. I used to deal with customers all the time like this.

I once had a lady put an oscar in one of those 2 gallon plastic tanks. Then she splurged on a 10 gallon, which was actually cheaper, and bought another oscar, so he could have a friend.

I know its not right, because it is still wrong to put the aro in the 125, its just less wrong than putting it in a 55.

I am definitely going to get a bigger tank, but I don't really know when.

Money isn't the problem, permission is.

Think about your future plans, I'm asssuming you are a teenager, right? Are you going to college? Or will you be moving out on your own? Monster tanks do not go well in dorms or small "first" apartments.

With proper care your aro will live for quite along time. Even if you are able to get the proper size tank, will you be able to provide a place to put that tank? Grow it out over the next year, it'll be fine it that tank. This will give you time to figure on what should be done with it.

It's good not to practice "saving" fish if you don't have the properly house these fish. Sure hope for your sake the LFS doesn't get another aro in.

Yeah, um, you've got to realize that's the fish biz. A lot of fish are going to end up in the care of complete TOOLS! If you tried to "save" all these fish from said tools, you would need a public aquarium style setup.

IMO, you'll be fine w/ the 125 for a while, but start saving NOW for that 220.

Yeah thats why I quit working at the poopsmart. It was just depressing rather than the vivacious experience I had expected.

Yes I am in college for the next year then I apply to get into the school of pharmacy. Then thats another 4 years. But I have my own savings account from all the jobs I have had since i was 14, and its got around 3 grand in it. I would buy a monster set up, but I need to move it when I move out. I don't know, I will think about this more when I have free time.

I know I can't save every fish, but this was one that I knew would have died instantly, I mean a 55? come on, thats awful. Though at petsmart I have seen worse, like oscars in those 2 gallon plastic pentagon tanks? That sucked.

Yeah I plan on getting a bunch more tanks, but I want a stable lifestyle before I start throwing away all this money on glass boxes. Maybe a steady income as well. I have a seperate college account because one of my great aunts decided education was important and donated a lot to my college fund. Once I get a degree the ruling is I get to keep all the leftover education money, maybe if I figure how much college will cost for the next 4 years, once I get into the school of pharmacy, then I will take the rest and put it on a down payment on a little house, and move in with my g/f of 4 years and bring all my monster tanks and maybe get a really huge one.

Well thats kind of a plan. Like I said I havn't really thought it through or anything...
