hi my large red wolf just reciently died. i'm pretty bummed about it. I live in ontario Canada and Red wolves and the rest of the hopalas family are hard to get. Yesterday, as a "b-day" treat, my family took me to missisuaga (a city an hour away from my house) for dinner. There was a Big al's there (one of the best lps in canada). i went to the predetory fish area and i saw 6 baby red wolves for sale!!!! They were so unresistable and cute (pretty corny LOL). The only wolf fish I've ever seen in person was my 7 inch adult red wolf. For the love of god, this is such a bad timing. i am buying a 50 gallon tank from a person the following week and my 30 gallon tank is already occupied with bichirs (polpterus). i am not going to the lps anytime soon but could i have temporarely put a baby red wolf of around 4 inches with my polys ( a delhezi and a albino) of the same size in the 30 gal until I got my 50 gallon tank and gotten it cycled????? thanks

you should have bought it and just put a divider in the tank or something till the other is set up

That what I thought of but the store was closind in 5 minutes and i didn't have time to make careful desicions. Also, i'm a guy that doesn't want to "waste" alot of money so I decided not to buy a divider.
i saw the red wolfs at that big als if you dont end up getting it talk to the manager there his name is eddy he will be willing to order any fish thats legal
so they are comm'd together? I think they should be fine as long as everyone is well fed. Hekk, look in the photo lounge. Check out the "stuck in the middle", thread. It has some wolves comm'd w/ bichirs. Its been done plenty of times.
