Yes ill give you that it's similar very similar but in person you can see the dark yellow tips of the little guy I still belive he's a gold. We eventually get to see who's right but in person he looks more like a gold

It's not a bad deal, even petsmart sells them for 5.99 round here and the lfs are a few bucks more.

Love him ha plecos are one of my favorite fish but I swear he's a gold I've been reading and comparing

They do have some gold/yellow on them when they're smaller but they outgrow it at around 3-4 inches or so.
