Did my tank already start to cycle?

I just got the rest of my decorations and started to set them up and i moved a rock and noticed it was really slimey. There is about an inch of water in it for about 2 weeks now just to keep the sand wet. The air inside the tank is a lot warmer then my room. I am about to fill the tank and was going to start cycling it.

But did the tank already start?

wanted to get my nice big log i bought in place and sand around it w/o all the water i n the way. So i am goign to start filling it in like 5- 10 mins once im done here lol

Run your hand through the sand and see if it smells bad.

Then you should take all your sand out and clean it.

I cleaned it throughly before i put it in my tank.

The sand doesn't really smell its just has a humid smell inside the tank because it is so hot im my room all the time and the tank isnt full yet
