and i just wanna add that i know some people in law enforcement. my close friend does high-risk probation. he tells me stories all the time. and we've had this discussion several times, about doing what your trained to do vs. going into survival instinct when the time calls.

he says that regardless of what they tell you to do in training, if it comes down to it, he's gonna do whatever it takes to make sure he finishes the day alive. in his line of work they deal with some absolute scum bags while doing house raids. he's told me stories of when theyve had to go outside their "professional" standards and honestly, i dont blame him one bit.

see if he cares about your politically correct professional and ethical training tactics when his life is on the line. he has two daughters at home and you can bet your ass he'll do what it takes to see them at the end of his shift. ANYBODY, i dont care who you are, anybody that would say otherwise has NEVER been put in a situation like this. it's easy to say one thing, but when it boils down to it, i doubt youre gonna pull out your pocket manual on how to be a good cop when the heat is on.

WoW, that was a very forceful paragraph

Almost as forceful as that man licking that lens in your avatar

Good point. Furthermore, during training, someone sits in a particular position, and you practice the move. Or, someone comes at you in the same basic motion, and you practice the move, over and over. They don't give you two crazy women pushing at you in training. Anyone in this thread who is saying that he could have easily used a different tactic, a tactic that he was trained in, has clearly never been in a situation like this.

I thought the same thing about where is the back up? Well to start he was most likely not thinking he was going to be assaulted issuing a summons or a warning for jay walking & in a manner of seconds/minutes it went from a smack on the hand to a smack down that quick!
Just thought but not sure if out there but a cop should have a quick button for help if needed? Like at a bank, just a quick click they respond quick.

our radios and the cops do have an emergency button. u hit it and u have 30 sec of open mic. say what u need to and ull get help

I don't think punching her in the face was the best choice, but I also wasn't in his position to judge that.
The guy kinda seems like he may have been new to all this seeing as he has alot of trouble restraining the second woman, and really obviously starts to get nervous after he punches the girl.

Hhahahahaha aw man that was good laughs. Alright alright, the avatar does her no justice. But the old lady bangs/hair cut ruins her if you can't see her face ;)
hahah i picked a new screenshot, maybe this is a better angle :D

let me get this straight, youre saying she should have known self defense so she can fight back with the officer? thats gotta be the dumbest thing ive read in this thread all day :screwy:

Nothing dumb about it friend, she would have avoided the punch and the officer would have then done an armbar on her or some other type of submission. Nothing dumb at all.

What I am saying is this would have been funny to see her move out of the way of an easy to dodge punch, even funnier to watch her go down in a heap of pain if the officer knew how to use her arm as a restraining device.

Watch the vid and I am sure there are many on here who can see an easier way to take her down. Take a close look at .12 in the vid, a perfect chance to take her down without punching her.

i can. my wife and i were talking about that. she has zero training and was describing ways to do it.
