Did you ever own a chipped corner aquarium?

Had the same question about my 120 gallon tank. I just blasted it with silicon. The chip is a little less than halfway from the top. I’m renting a duplex with hardwood floors 😅

I felt from the inside of the tank, and i can’t feel that indent from the inside.

There are people on here that are much more knowledgeable than me in this department, but I wouldn't trust this... especially if you can feel it on the other side.

I have a 37 with a large chuck missing in a corner about 1" from the top but I only fill it monthly for saltwater water changes, and wouldn't use it if it were halfway down the glass.

Hello; At some point the math has to be about what you have to lose if 120 gallons of water lets go. I had a 125 let go decades ago. I was lucky in that it was in a basement with a concrete floor and floor drains. I lost the tank , a few fish and plants. Saved most of the fish and plants. No other damage.
I had a 55 gallon leak out upstairs on my hardwood floors and had some floor damage. Happened while I was away for a long weekend so things stayed wet a good while.
Nobody can give a respectable prediction of the tanks integrity. Chips are not a uniform thing. I have had tank with chips run a long time and never fail.

last thought. I now cover the glass corners of my tanks. I have found some transparent plastic used on the outside corners for wallpaper jobs. I cut them to tit and silicone them to the outside of my glass tanks. Prevents chips.
