Hi have 2 orandas about 4 inch long and looks pretty healthy had them about 7 months or so have 56 gal tank with 90 gal filter pump pumps 400 gal a min, what would be the best diet to keep them healthy but also promote fast growth any ideas and how much should I feed them is this tank efficient for them I do not have no room or money for bigger tank I have one 55 gal a 56 gal a 20 gal no fish in 20 gal at this point but I would assume 56 gal is good for them now just the food I feed them frozen blood worms and frozen brine shrimp, omega one flake food and hikari pellets any more ideas and I have no idea how much to feed them and how many times a day sorta new so any advice is appritiated thanks

I'd get rid of the flakes. Hikari has some foods aimed at fish with the wen, like the lionhead and ranchu brands. Everything else you feed them is good. Good food and clean water is all they need. You'll have to post pics, I used to breed ranchu a few years back so I'm a sucker for anything with a wen.

Ok I will try to upload photos sometime thanks for the replies guys so you think the tank size is good, and is changing 25% of the water each week good or should I take more out or do it more often my water quality seems great no problems looks clear

I used to change at least 50 percent a week. Let nitrates to your guide, when it hits over 20ppm do a water change. That tank is a good size for them especially if you can't get a bigger tank. At least your doing over 20 gallons per fish, most people do 10 gallon per goldfish which is pretty cramped

Your 56 gallon is fine for up tp 3 of them. I would limit brine and bloodworms to once a week. and feed every other day with more of a veggie flake.

Please use sentences, I got out of breath just reading that.

Ditch the high protein stuff (forzen bloodworms and brine). I agree to ditch the flakes. Pellets are much better at filling them up and being clean.

Keep up a regular water change schedule. Your nitrate concentration should not go over 20ppm before a water change. More is better though, so if you can do a larger water change every week do it, no matter what the nitrate concentration is.

I only feed and recommend New Life Spectrum. It is by far the best stuff out there.

Im going to try and put up a pic of my red cap oranda, if I can figure out how I am not good with computers or spelling lol oh and my orange oranda also
