ps. one of my LFS sells mice to feed to snakes. They are labelled specifically for that purpose. So they are breaking the law?
I myself would never feed anything live even if I could get hold of feeders, I'm just to squeamish and soft, I don't like it at all!
pps. cichlid2006, I know where to get Hikari Massivore 380G for £18.36 delivered if you wanted that again.
I don't use massivore, I just needed a quick reference to show that nls isn't as expensive as people think. I just skimmed ebay for a quick example.
And no your lfs isn't technically breaking the law by selling them but using live vertabrates breaks new animal welfare laws to intentionally put an animal in harms way and you must provide adequate care in all aspects of the animals life (food, bedding, etc). Feeding them alive to a snake definitely constitutes intentionally causing harm.
If the RSPCA raid them they could lose their pet trading license.
