diet pills...

I would venture to say that any training program that is going to get you ready for a martial arts tournament is going to make you lose weight. Healthy intelligent eating and lots of training is going to do far better than any pill. If youre training and youre out of shape, youre not ready for a tournament and may not be training correctly. Evaluate your program and stay away from the pills.

IME many diet pills do work very well, but only because they are loaded with stimulants. Really makes me wonder about the long-term health effects!

The OP said he needed to lose weight for a Muay Thai tournament, so a lot of you are taking this post completely out of context because if this guy is competing in Muay Thai tournaments, he's probably already working out a lot...

That being said, how much weight do you need to lose? Most people can cut around 10 lbs of water weight pretty easily...rubber suits, jogging, saunas, etc.....

But diet pills are basically for lazy people that part with their money too quickly. The only "diet pill" that ever actually worked (ephedra) is now illegal because of lazy, out of shape people mis-using it.

God did give us legs for a reason, try using them once in a while.

i wanna compete in the summer, gona try lose 10kg. i do jogging when i can, work on my arms at nite everyday and do 20mins on the punch bag. plus i go muay thai training 2 times a week

whats your diet like now? 20+ lbs in a month or two is gonna take a lot of dedication. especially since your gonna compete in a sport and you wanna keep as much muscle as possible. lots of lean meats for proteins, carbs should only come from brown rice, oats and yams. no fruit. fruit is good when you are casually losing weight but not when you have a goal of a couple of months to lose a good amount of weight. fruit is a simple sugar which creates an insulin spike and thats exactly what you wanna avoid when losing weight. you wanna keep your insulin levels as level as possible. you should take in a limited amount of fat and the sources should be from animal fats in your protein, flax or olive oil, nuts and natty peanut butter. eat as many small meals as you can. no less than 5-6. if your serious about this i could help you with a diet. ive helped my buddy who competes in muay thai, BJJ and MMA. its not easy, the food is tasteless but you will lose the weight with minimal amount of muscle loss.
