I'm just curious to see what people are feeding their mbu or other large puffers. I feed mine on market shrimp, krill, mussel, crab and snails. Is there any changes I should make to it's diet?
Here's a pic a little after feeding on shrimp and snails :]

Declawed crayfish are nice and crunchy to help shave down its beak....

Good diet but he looks way overfed. How big is he & how often are you feeding him? Nightcrawlers are packed with good protein too. Also, all your foods from the market should be frozen & later defrosted in tank water, soaked in fish vitamins.

It was right after he ate, he's usually not that round lol, he's maybe 4 inches now he's grown a bit :], I feed once a day, usually a small bit of what I'm feeding that day, and a snail or 2, or one if it's a bigger kind. How much should I be feeding? I feed until he looks about like in the picture, should I feed less? Also, his foods are defrosted in tank water, there are fish vitamins?

Feed every other day until a slightly rounded belly.

I don't even feed my F8 puffers every day. You're going to wind up with an obese puffer that dies early of a fatty liver.
