Well, it will be here Friday morning :D man is my wife pissed! $200 for a 7 incher. What should I feed it? Am I on the right track with crickets, earthworms and frozen silversides? I absolutly DO NOT want to feed it live. It will be sharing my 180 with my Tigrinus (Bob) any advice would help alot!

What you just mentioned for food is great...Try feeding frozen too....Beefheart, krill, clam, squid, bloodworms, brine shrimp....They are all great foods to feed!

Enjoy your little guy, and post pics when you can!

Meal worms are the best feed for aros
if you start feeding the aro on what you feed the tig you will never get food to the tig
so did you pay a blue aro price ?

i even saw a black aro last week with no blue in it for £200 so even std blacks are going for stupid money now.
and yes they are the same.

I feed my Tig directly off coral tongs, right down the hatch so no problem there :naughty: Yes, I paid $200 for a 7" Black (Blue??) Arowana. I could have bought a 10" for the same price plus shipping but wanted one closer to the size of my Tig.

we had loads of people thinking they had something rare after a fish mag said their are a few rare blue arps just been imported into the UK

but a true aro fan will tell you that they spotted the con from day one

What mag said that? UK Fishkeeping?

What is the difference between Black and Blue Arowanas? I want one for my 180 that my Tig is in. I have read that Blues may be from a different location than reg. blacks but are the same fish?? My LFS can order a 7" "Blue" for $200 or I can buy a 10" "Black" for $200 plus Fedex. Does anyone here have the lowdown on Blue Arowanas and could educate me? net searches produced very little info.

Tought black and blue are the same. :)

$200 bucks for an aro very expensive :WHOA: . But I suppose its like that if they are rare in your area.
