Difference between WC and CB

I'm surprised too that responsible fish keepers would encourage wild catching fish for a human hobby, causing another Asian arowana, or boesemani rainbow.
i would intentionally buy captive bred.

Again, read the tread before making judgement. No one is encouraging the buying of wc fishes. If u look at it in a positive way, from learn what to look out for if u wanna buy cb fishes. But u choose to believe otherwise instead. Its an open tread of discussion on difference. Not on encouraging the buying of wc fishes.

To be honest, its hypocritical to talk abt this. If u use paper its destroying the forest. If u eat tuna, its killing the sea. If we farm food or fishes, we are destroying the land. The sheer number of humans is the cause of everything. The pet trade is a by product. The very computer u use is polluting the earth. Should we quit school/work and live in a cave? Thats all I'm going to say abt this.

Not necessarily true. These fish will get collected and eaten for food or destroyed by humans regardless.
The pet trade adds value to them and restricts unwarranted destruction. Believe me, i came from that part of the world and know what i'm talking about.

you're welcome. but what i was stating is that you shouldn't depend on a forum alone. this site may be a credible site but NOT a credible source because most of the answers/responses are opinionated and varies with each person and their experiences. And asking questions in a separate thread isn't wrong. however you shouldn't be ranting that your question got ignored and that other people are "pretending that they are experts" and whatnot. you may not be calling out their names in public but you are indirectly calling them out and that's not okay.
