Difference in L27(throwback pics)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah I've only seen a goldline in person and the price was out of my price range and it didn't help the price that it was 10"

Rio Teles pires is the most expensive out of the L27 goldline

Rio Araguaia is second most expensive

Rio Jamanxim,Tapajos,Tocantins and Xingu are in the same price range.

lovin your l27s. from your pics the jamanxim and teles pires seem to pop the most. for me teles pires are the easiest to ID. the rest seem to blur together.

Sorry to hijack your thread but you to be the person to ask brought this as a L191 what's your opinion ?

I paid $80 for my Xingu if I remember right he was 4"
That’s a decent price for a 4” did you get it from a local aquarium shop?

Jamanxim patterns and colors are super clear but the jet black base over power the the gold lines it has. For the price of a Teles Pires it should be the easiest to recognize.

The easiest way to tell a dull eye royal aka L191 is they look like most royals but without the signature red eyes

yeah I got it from Fish Gallery in Dallas and now that I think about it that was the day of their anniversary sale and all their livestock was 1/2 off and I got both him and my 4" L264 sultan for $40 each(they were both marked at $80) and my Afer Knifefish. I made a killing that day and was broke for the rest of the month lol

$40 I would have jump on it too, I think cheapest I seen small Xingu go for is $50
