Difference of Aussie aros

leichardtii: rounder, more long and slender looking, no gill p[late markings no-little scale markings and usually dont have fin markings

jardini: more markings generlally more colourful they are more aggresive more squarer and bulkier and usually have a sort of raised part above the head like the head is lower then the base of dorsal fins in adukts
 
Which one do you guys rate as better to own?
 
lei gets red as they get older...and they are more expensive everywhere...harder to keep when young...but a solid fish as they get older...not as aggressive as jars but not as easy going as silvers and blacks...
 
i love my lei, and wouldn't trade him for the world. when they get bigger they turn really red. closest thing to asian aro u can get legally in the states. guys in aussie like jars, guys in the states/every other country usually like lei's. some people like jars for specific reasons i can't find. i jus hate the temperment, solitary fish imo are just a waste of a tank.

my lei loves his tankmates, dats, loaches, bichirs. lei would be my choice.
 
I love the deep thick body of a jardini. Gives it the look of the power house that they are. Mine is about 22" and THICK.
