Differences between upper jaw and lower jaw bichirs in terms of behaviour and temperament?

In my (limited) experience, i have found upper jaws to be a little more active, and their styles of predation to be somewhat different. upper jas in my experience are a little more active in their predation, whilst lower jaws tend to be more like a stonefish, although they will sometimes be more active. If i am wrong abt something, don't hesitate to correct me, this is just personal experience.

My senegal swim and chases their feeders to bite them(guppies and mollies that I bred), but my endlicherii just staying still and wait till a feeder gets close to its mouth and then bites. So I'd kinda agree with you.

Like others, my Upper Jaws are more active while my Lower Jaws just seem to hang out more. When they hand out, my Upper Jaws seems to hang out in a more secured area while my Lower Jaws hang out more in the open. All my fish are on pellets and frozen foods, so I don't really notice much in feeding behavior. Maybe my Upper Jaws are less shy and will come out once the food hits the water, but my Lower Jaws will just casually just find their food.

As someone who has kept tons of both lower and upper jaws of various sizes, IMO there's no real difference due to them being upper or lower jaw. It'll come down to individuality. Some will be more shy or more outgoing or more aggressive than others (even within the same species).

Hi, can you tell me the growth rates of Senegal compared to endlicherii? Are they slow or fast? Or both species are slow growers or fast growers? Thank you!

One of my least favorite question to answer is growth rate. Growth rate for bichirs generally is not linear. It's rather unpredictable and will vary from individual to individual. But I guess in general, endlicheris do grow faster than senegals (mainly because they grow bigger).
