Simple, ST's are no longer in the wild. (RARE) And are not even bred in captivity.
IT's are as common as toilet paper. = common and easier to get.


It all comes down to "what you want in your collection". I would pay money for a ST, BUT, I would also pay good money for a classic IT.

It's personal preference.

Just get a IT or even a NTT and you will understand.

My Florida gar escaped 3 times, one time found him almost bone dry, but they air breathers so can b out of water for long time. But he looked dead, dry n stiff. Still put back in tank. He pretty much floated around for 3 days, a slight twitch here and there. On fourth day, was going to put out of misery and freeze him, and all the sudden he sprung bak to life!!! Damaged, but well alive. Live another 8yrs after that.
Hope u got to him fast enough, if any sign of life, giv him some time in water, may make a come back

Has anyone seen the latest thread by Stones Aquarium?...He said he just got in a shipment of ST from Thailand and he had photos of some really big beauties....makes me wonder where exactly those fish cam from?
