Differences in LMB?

Is there any differences in the northern LMB and Florida LMB? I caught a baby Florida LMB and it doesn't have the line thru the middle like the ones I've seen

genetically there is a difference. The Florida strain is a subspecies and is called Micropterus salmoides floridanus while the northern largemouth is Micropterus salmoides. They have crossbred the species and placed them in waters all over the country to gain faster growth rates and more trophy fish.

Well I'm in Ocala so I guess it could also be black bass

Post a pic.

Black bass is just a name for the whole bass family. It's 99% most likely just a FL LMB. Not any other species should be in your area. Can't always just go by markings
