guys..i have a simple question..im no an aro expert but why is the AFRICAN AROWANA is a lot different from all the arowana species..i mean why there head is a lot different and why is an african aro does not have a barble's?

they seem to be more similar in appearance to arapaima that other arowana

africans are more filter feeders, so that may be why they don't really need barbels.

IDK a whole lot about africans
