Sp. dabola next to a very nice faranah lap. Belongs to Seeker in China. He has 2 other sp. dabola as well. Solid collection.

So where do this sp.dabola comes from? And are they really their own species or natural hybrid, cause until now no one can prove it and there are so much specimen out there.

Perfect statement. What do we know ? Only that the name indicates its caught in dabola but we've also heard that they arent caught there and have come in as contaminants from faranah. Is this still true ?

Im skeptical of this fish being an sp. Or bieken. Not that i know what one looks like but i see an awfully close resemblance to the polys that were thought to be sp.faranah/ faranah laps.

You guys dont think they all similar enough to at the least cast doubt.

Personally, I don't think it matters too much. People call their fish whatever they want. They paid for it. Since there aren't any specific studies on these oddball fish, anyone is free to call their fish whatever. People will always have their own opinion. Some think all these fish are just variations of a lapradei. Some think they are all hybrids. Some think they are a new species. At the end of the day, a nice fish is a nice fish. If it's sitting in your tank then must be nice to be you.:hitting:
