Do you know if they were wild caught or farm raised?
Best looking silvers I've seen on this site. Not sure if one is high shine or not but he is definitely not a standard silver. Since they are both fed the same food and live in the same tank ,I think you can rule out that food has anything at all to do with his color. Just my opinion.
i assume they were wild caught, simply because i'm not sure if there's a farm that's breeding silvers. i bought them at a lfs when they were juveniles. The shinier one of the 2 were a pig when he was young and out grew the other 1 to the point of more than doubling his size. at some point though the other one started to grow even and eventually bigger than the shinier one. He's the biggest fish in there right now but he still thinks he's small , since he's bullied by everyone , including the smaller jar.
