I have nine "red" dovii siblings growing out in a 400 gallon. Four have peeled and each one is vastly different in coloration. Unfortunately five have yet to peel, so if anyone in the Seattle area wants some unpeeled (no idea if they will peel or will throw colored offspring) let me know.

And one of some neets cause neets are cool.

yeah for neets. would like to keep them 1 day just to see how nuts they really are

So far they are the only fish that the dovii haven't killed. I have two males and a female, I hope I can get them to spawn eventually. They mind their own business but don't take any crap.

I look forward to updates, thanks for starting this thread, Jamie.

About what size are these? What size were they when they started to peel?

Looks like you have a regular morph Dovii in there as well. Interesting the variation between siblings.

The smallest is probably 3.5" (white), and the largest is close to 7" (regular). There are 9, all siblings. Four have peeled. One peeled at 3-4", the others were quite a bit smaller than that, like 1-2". Looking back, the fish were born in early April and by mid-late May three had faded. The yellow one didn't start to fade until Sept.

The yellow one is the one that peeled at a larger size, and it had an unusual yellow base color for several months before it committed to peeling and then the process only took a couple weeks.
