Different species of pacu??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There are 3 verities of Pacu. Albino one also. If you want a fish doesnt grow as big as those, you can consider piranha if allowed in your area. Anyway whats your tank size. It will give better idea about stockings.
Piranha are illegal in my area and im getting a grow out tank that is either will be a 55-125 gallon aquarium depending on whats available

Okay first search up on google different species of pacu then come back and tell me what you find okay??
I think you missed my point....I’m not your personal google search assistant and neither are the people of this forum. i think you need to get more serious about fish keeping and do more research before you get fish.

I just wanted to know if there are other species of pacu in the pet trade beside the red belly and black pacu and where i can get them

Search on MFK, search on google. Follow up from there. There are not many pacu keepers here, less experts among them. You need to be specific

Research takes preference to posting a new thread. Most people then post specific questions from their initial research where they can get more relevant experience from the forum members ;)

Something to think about, and this might seem mean but I don’t mean for it to be taken rudely.

You create a lot of posts with things that can easily be googled. I’m not trying to discourage you from posting but most people are usually starting threads for their fish tanks, their fish, setups, things they find interesting etc. They post looking for advice from reputable people with experience.

It would be different if you were asking bc you plan to maybe stock your tank with them, this does not seem the case here. It seems Like you just post for three sake of posting.

why not use google for general questions and learn more knowledge then post here for the input, additional knowledge, and cross reference the info you have found?

Why not start a thread for your tank that you are planning to get. When do you plan to get it? What kind of equipment will you be using? Post pictures to your thread of the things you get when you get them. Ask questions all in one thread so people can follow along. Keep everything “documented” in one place...I use the term documented lightly, have fun with it.

Well put
