digging cichlids

All my SA and CA cichlids dig. Every water change I'm flattening out the gravel, but within an couple hours there are piles everywhere.

JDs
RD/Midas
Tex
FHs
BP
etc etc..
Alot of cichlids do.

well my friends convict actually buries himself in the gravel, like 1/2 of his body in and 1/2 sticking out
