Digikits moonlight any good?

Is this a quality product? See link below. Any other suggestions for moonlighting? Not interested in making my own unless it is as simple as christmas lights placed under current light bars.

No experience with Digikits, I have the R2 Dual Extreme Moonlight on my 46g Bowfront, looks pretty good.

for $40 I might have to take the plunge and install them in the new pond room. Need good lighting for my catfish sense they arent very active with all lights on.

How are yours mounted? I plan to put LEDs under my two light housings on a 55gal. Do you think they would fit? How much cord is supplied to connect the two, ie how far apart will the two seperate?

I just have them lying immediately behind the flourescent fixture, thought about fitting them inside it but decided I may want to use them on another tank sometime. The AC adaptor comes with an 8ft cable going to a single connector, the two lights each have 2 ft of cord which join into a plug that plugs into the adaptor connector, so they could be up to 4 ft apart with the connector in the middle.

An alternative that would mean a little DIY could use something like this http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.44666
at $2.80 a pair, some holders from your local breakers yard and a 12v adaptor you could probably set something up for larger tanks/pools for a lot less than the cost of one set of R2's.

I am running blue leds, not the digikits, but the over all effect is tits.
