IME, moving with pets esp. fish is just more stress u don’t need. Sure its doable… its not fun tho and an added “worry” u can eliminate. As others have done and mentioned i left a 30gal at home cared for by a sibling/parents and also a pond with multiple turtles. They were neglected and kept alive for a cple yrs until i had my own apartments and better accommodations. Dorm life with a tank isnt worth it. Kids are stupid…been there
. It wont end well. I kept multiple tanks in my last college apartment. It was a straight up nightmare when i graduated and had to move out. It took a caravan of 3 trucks to get just the fish home 3hrs away. Multiple other trips for the tanks and “normal” stuff…Keep as few possessions as u can during college. As ur thinking of now, fish/tanks are harder to get rid of then they are to aquire. Easy to build a hoard again 4-5yrs down the road or when the time is right. Ur priorities and interests will change drastically. Don’t hold urself back with possessions.
