Dilemma feeding live food

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I feed my Piranhas, Mice , Cichlids , Goldfish , Guppies , Oscars , Flowerhorn , pretty much anything cheap and live I can buy from gumtree that people are selling to re-home obviously I don't tell them it's for piranhas to eat
Why don't you feed them with this little thing that are supposed to be your brain? Nothing wrong in live feeding but bro... How dirty you gotta be to take other peoples pets and without 'em knowledge give it to your piranhas.

Despite that, as said by the others members, you may let your fish sick.

Thanks for the heads up il try avoid it in the future just wanted to see people's reactions

I know it doesn't make me tough lol but 6 years in the British Army did ??

I think you need to put some of that discipline drummed into you from the army into your feeding methods. There is absolutely no need to con people into thinking you're rescuing their unwanted animals, in good faith that you're offering a better home, only to take them home and watch them get butchered. It's unethical with regard to the peoples animals you're "rescuing", and potentially lethal for your piranhas.

Especially when piranhas are easy to get off live. Many many years ago I used to keep piranhas and they loved whitebait.

Thanks for the reply and yes I will look at breeding my own feeder fish and I know it doesn't make me tough lol but 6 years in the British Army did ??

No worries, unfortunately theres a bad stereotype of people feeding live fish to mean fish thinking they are hard and sadly you have lived up to it since youve been on here.
Hopefully you have seen the vibe of this forum, im sure if you relax a bit you will enjoy it here and get to know some good people and learn a lot about fishkeeping. Piranhas cool, they are illegal to keep here so I like to see what people who can have them are up to with them. Im sure theres a lot more to them than just watching them shred live fish, what else do you want to do with them, maybe breeding etc.? Saying that, if i had them i would probably be tempted to feed them live fish once in a while just to watch.
