Another example of how a thread is taken off topic from the original topic of discussion because tank size is an issue. Next time anybody wants some help with fish, just ask a hypothetical question. Tri color or bala sharks are schooling fish, so you may want to buy a few more.

I have three and they are quite active, not sure if I want to get more. I bought the Chocolates a little smaller because they grow fast but it probably won't make a difference.
I will be adding Aquidens, maybe some Keyhole Cichlids and a Geo soon.:naughty:
Oh, and a 3 foot Clown Knife.:grinno:

Def. go with some geo's. Geo colonies are pretty awesome. Boo the keyholes, I'm not a big fan.

Tri colors are Balas, I totally forgot. I think guppy said that they don't start breeding until they are around 7 or 8 inches, but you never know!

Sorry, I though Tri Colors were related to Rainbows and Red Tail sharks. Yes, like Benifica said, get some more than because they are schoolers not territorial.

Sorry for the derail.:(

I worked in the industry for years and never heard of Balas; we always called them Tri Colors so you learn something new every day. I agree they need to be much older/larger before breeding but what I observed looked sexual rather than territorial or aggressive. They haven't done it again since I posted.
Full size, Tri Colors are $25-$ 30 but they take a while to get that big.

Love Geo's.
I like Keyholes. They aren't too well known, have that overinflated football shape and aren't overly aggressive.

Yea keyholes are really cool. I wish we still sold them. They would look great in there, or some rams!
