Today I bought one that the shop claimed to be a Dimidiochromis Compressiceps, but I'm not really sure. I bought it because I saw the water quality of the shop was so bad, and it looks like it was malnourished or has a parasite problem. So I brought it home with me and want to give it a good life. Though I really want to know if it's a true Dimidiochromis Compressiceps, or another Dimidiochromis, or maybe it's just a hybrid. Would you mind if I'll post an image in here later and ask you to check it for me? If you're able to, of course!Males start to color around 5-6”. Should be able to vent pretty accurately around 4”
Thank you! It'll probably take hours though. Because I'm travelling back to my province. I'll post the image this evening(in my timezone). I always appreciate helps!!!Go for it mate, no worries!
I also have another 1 malawi that I wanted to ask you what species it is. I also want to ask you the sex of my vieja bifas, argentea, heterospila, breidohri and melanurus if possible. (I'mma try catching them, because they can only be watched from above POV.)Go for it mate, no worries!
No, what I'm curious is if this eyebiter is a true Dimidiochromis Compressiceps, or a different species of Dimidiochromis or is it a hybrid. But I'll try catching it again cuz I'm also curious of its sex.It is difficult to tell just from these lateral pics. If you can get an in focus picture of it's vent area, and all the other fishes vent areas that you want to try to sex as well. This is really the only way to tell for sure with immature fish![]()
