What is the best diet for growing fish? How often should I feed them? What do y'all feed your youngins to make em grow up big and strong?

I feed these guys blood worms in the morning and hikari gold at night, and if im in the mood ill pick up some guppies while im at the store buying a mouse for my snake.

Variety, variety, variety. Along with their staple, give them a variety of other foods. Bloodworms, earthworms, mealworms, shrimp, beefheart, peas, lettuce, krill, waxworms, mosquito larvae, spirulina pellets.....just keep these things as the "bonus" food, not overtaking their staple. You especially need to keep this in mind with your oscars. Keep the meaty stuff to a reasonable amount, and only feed one type at a time. Make sure they get their staple first, then add the others. I keep the bonus foods to an every other day max, with pellets everyday. Little guys you can feed 2 or 3 times a day to keep their wheels turning, just keep it to smaller amounts than you would give them as a single feeding. On top of all this, WATER CHANGES. The cleaner your water is, the healthier and faster-growing your guys will be.

I had no idea they would eat all of those things...i thought they were just carnivorous and wouldnt touch veggies n stuff. I'll keep that in mind. I also did a 50% water change today.
