Put up a Q on a public forum, expect an answer from anyone. If you wrote legibly, I & everyone else who sees it might have known what your question actually was.

what are u talking about? my question was directed at the OP about his food farm set up, so no, not anyone should or can answer the questions. i don't want to know what other people think. i want to know what the OP is doing and has set up. that simple no reason to complicate things. when i asked what are u doing and have u done this those are all about the OPs food farm i don't get y this is so hard to understand.

this is not my fish tank its where i keep there food alive and about my punctuation i can care less i didnt know i was back in school hehe
but anyways the fx5 i had on hand so thats what i use to move the water around but im sure with just a pump pumping the water to the last barrel it would filter fine but i just drain it to be on the safe side but i dont think i would need too the water is always nice and clear not green at all and it gets plenty of sun but i think the floating green alge is what the clams eat and keep it clear plus it has plenty of flaoting plants that help shade and filter it
so it works for me and if it works for someone else its cool with me to

oh and as for my real tank its a 10ftX6ftX4ft diy tank that my monsters live in hehe

i am really going to have to think about getting one of these up and running maybe on a little smaller scale but something similar do u know if the clams breed in there or what it might take for them to breed? also do u think putting the clams in a mesh bag would do them harm?

I love the pond/food production setup. I agree that punctuation would be nice, it just helps the reader. Granted I am a piss poor writer myself so I understand someone being ambivalent.

i know the clams do breed cuz i find tini ones in the fx5 filter ...but now that its warming up the cray and srimp get busy hehe and my fish get happy hehe

INteresting set-up.. been pondering what to do for my Fahaka since he's growing now, and buying food is getting more and more expensive as he gets bigger... I could def make something like that work for crays and snails. I'm surprized the crays don't wipe out your shrimp. Nice set-up thanks for shareing it.

I was at a lake the other day & there were snails everywhere! Got a bag of about 500 of them & froze. My fahaka is in snail heaven, as is my Mantis shrimp!
