DINOSAUR BICHIR AT PETSMART???

they sell a type of bichir at petsmart that they call "dinosaur" bichir. what kind is it really? and how big do they get??

The Dinosaur Bichir is a Senegal. Looking at about 12" in captivity as far as I know.

i appreciate it. do yall think i could keep one with a gator gar thats about 5 inches?? the gar usually stays near the top of the water so i was assuming that he wouldnt bother one??

not for very long, once the gar approaches the bichir in size it will get eaten fast given the lack of girth on bichirs

p.s you mentioned you were thinking of a name for your gator gar, have you decided yet?
