Dinosaur Bichir & EBJD's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah a SENEGAL BICHIR, would be fine, they are active and swim all over the tank but pretty much ignore cichlids as long as they are big enough to not be considered lunch

How big are the fish?

I had a 5-6" del with 8 1" EBJDs in a 20g one time. The next morning there were 7 EBJDs. The next morning there were 6 and a half EBJDs. Moved the del to a 220 with some bigger fish and never saw it again...

haha yeah thats why i warned about only putting in the sen if the ebjd are big enough, i have 3 in my 120g and they swim around with the other fish no problem, iv even seen a sen land on top of one of my cichlids and he totally ignore the sen lol, but when i tried adding a school of zebra danios you better believe they were all gone within 5min of being added to the tank and the sens were the only ones not in hiding from the water change haha

Delhezi's are much more aggressive then the common Senegal, That's probably you're issue because my Bichir never even touches them and they don't touch him either.

Oh and putting a 6" Delhezi with bunch of 1" EBJD's is like me throwing in rosies to my Senegal, I actually would feed my Senegal Rosies bigger than that when I first got him and hes the size of you're Delhezi.

bichirs go well with cichlids. they mind their own business. i had 8 in with my cichlids before.now they hang with my pikes. as long as you have a large enought tank, 55g+, you're good to go
