the P. palmas polli is being farm bred too. a lot of juvies lately.

i have that feeling too since palmas polli has been sucessfully bred for a long time, why not do it on a massive scale....but i'm really not sure...gotta look thru some of my books and see if i can spot tankful of palmas polli juvies at breeding farms

I find it very strange that stores like petsmart just made up the name for their polypterus. It's only for the polypterus that they carry too, being the senegals and the ornates. No other fish get made up names...

Actually I'm thinking the suppliers made up the name as I seem them in other stores as dinosaur eels-Anne

There have been a lot of them hitting the lfs here Anne, about 2-3" iwent to get one and wound up getting a del..Gonna get a polli too probably tom, I'll post it as soon as i get 'em..

My local petsmart has just the senegals, but they have very young "plain" ones, and albinos that are 3-4". Albinos came in about 2 months ago as a manager choice.
