does anyone know anything about these Dinosaur Eels :screwy: or does it have another name??? i saw some at the local shop and it kind of looks like a bichir...lemme know thanks

Msot likely as has been written its Polypterus senegalus a non agressive predator from Africa they get 10-12 inches
Feeding
Live foods : guppies , rosey red minnows, ghost shrimp, earthworms
frozen: bloodworms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp , krill, squid and frozen silversides
a good quality pellet, lean meaty foods such as beefheart are good too
but you need to balance their diet for nutrition so vary the diet, not just one
thing. How much to feed them ? Feed them until their belly bows slightly.
and skipping a meal will not hurt them once they are
past 7-8 inches remember in the wild food is not
always available.A nice round bichir is a happy bichir

My LFS does this as well. Typically it is p senegalus, allthough I have seen them label Violet (Dragon) Gobies with this as well

yeah the top picture in that post is a senegal bichir, and a very nice looking one at that. :D

All the stores around here call any of the birchirs that. I don't know the scientific name of the bottom one but it's a dragon goby.
