What is the most unique, exciting, or unexpected specimen that you have ever dipped up? For me it was a Neuse River Water Dog (Necturus lewisi).

I was really excited when I netted a pair of sailfin mollies. I can't even find them where I live now, not even in the fish store. I also caught a fundulus chrysotus pair and I thought they were cool. I also can't find them here.

not really too excited but i netted a pair of juvi Quillback's. I've also caught baby Northern pike in nets haha, nothing really too exciting though

Ok so why the interest in pirate perch? Just curious because they are really common where I grew up and I want to know if I'm over looking something.
pirate perch!
