directv opinions

I have Comcast and I'm so completely dissatisfied with them I'm going to pay $150 to end my contract. I've had dishnetwork and was happy, love their dvr. Uverse is not available at my house. Have no experience with directvDirecTV what's your opinions.

I loved having direct tv. i just paid the same amount to end my contract with them however, to get cable with time warner because they had an insane special going on for 2 years that would save me a ton of money even after the contract.

However this being said, the only reason i quit direct tv was because it wasn't cheaper. I loved their service.

What type of service did you sign contract for? I also have comcast but didn't sign any contract. That is the only good thing about comcast... you don't need to sign contract.

I have direct tv. When the tornado went over my house last week the cable never went out! Good service too!

I've heard bad customer service. Clark Howard really seems to hate them.

But most ads I've seen suggest good deals

How's their DVR? On dish if a show didn't record due to priority it would automatically record the later airing. Is the remote universal, I miss not having to switch between aux and cable every time I want to alter the volume, but I could always get a Logitech if DVR is up to par and I can get a better deal than dish.
