Dirted tank

All the plants are doing really well. I had to cut one of the anacharis in half and another one into thirds.
I lost one of the 4 or 5 Java ferns I moved over but they looked like hell when I put them in anyways.
The water is still brown but that extra layer of sand really helped with the cloudiness.

And I noticed this on a couple of my java ferns. What is this? It looks like a new plant growing off the tip. Roots and all.View attachment 1165569
Looking good, ehh. The small plantlets you see are a method of propagation in happy/healthy Java Ferns. Eventually, those small plantlets will detach and float around until they get caught up (at which point they'll root to something and grow in to a new plant).

i figured thats what was going on. do you have any idea around what size theyll fall off? this one of three that are doing this haha.

I usually just snip them off once the leaves reach an inch or so. After that, I tie them down to driftwood and let them develop as new plants.
