The female already looks to be solid yellow, not too sure what you are asking?

Ok, but if its a homogenous hybrid, That would take a few generation. With the other fishes, non yellow labs, colors coming out in some.

A local "central Iowa" cultivated variant of the native F0. If they have hybrid genes, its from a distant cousin.
The local white bass crossed with an ocean going 60 pound striped bass, makes a sterlie, hybrid wiper bass.

Like a mule is to a donkery and a horse.

I am sure my fish are many generations, from lake malawi. Even though, would 10 native F0, line bred and inbred isolate the genes so much that, the 20th cousins would be distinctly different?
Enouph to call it a hybrid, when its a full blood, just with homogenous traits.

Kind of like a AKA Border Collie, bred for looks, vs a ABC Border Collie, Bred to move live stock. Both are DNA, 100% pure breed Border collie. Very different in how they behave, and look.

They are siblings, and great grand parents. I would get salt, and coral. If I could afford a F1 Fish. They will not be sold. Just line Bred until they have buck teeth, and 6 toes.

You can see some of my old F1 yellow lab "lion cove" in this video. You mention the cost of quality fish. I paid $3 each for my f1's. You just have to look for quality fish, they are out there once you sort through all the hybrids being sold everywhere these days.. The quality cannot be compared to hybrid fish.

Mine cost $10 each, but that was 15 yrs ago when WC specimens cost $100 or more per fish and F1's were not so easy to source.

I am going with ebay prices, as $20 + $35 shipping.
My labs were the first I have ever seen, after looking for some colorful fish. I got them as 1/2" long fry.

I still need a large clear picture to compare, as I cant even pick out a boy or girl, until after they spawn.

You've got to look around. I would NEVER buy cichlids from eBay. Look for a local cichlids club, most likely there are dedicated breeders within a couple of hours of you. I drive 2 1/2 hours for my fish because I know what kind of quality I am getting when I purchase them.
