I have a Rubber Lipper Pleco, at least that's what I was told it was, and I noticed that he isn't a very effective algea eater either. I have a Chocolate Albino (a paradoxical name) pleco in another tank, and he does a much better job at keeping the algea down. From what I have read these guys stay relatively small also, 5-6 inches when grown. With peaceful community fish, you can also get snails, and some of them are pretty cool looking. Just my 2 cents...
