I never had a problem with craigslist I use a mutually convenient public place to meet though.

Same here. I've been using it and I haven't had any problems.

It's eBay for rednecks!

Yea that's a good idea. Usually when one of my friends uses it we usually go as a group just in case. A friend from work went and met up with 3 different people after work one night. I told him I was worried that he was pushing it. He was going to ify neighborhoods in St. Paul that I probably wouldn't go to at night.

What the hell was he buying/selling ? :screwy:

Yah, never trust craigslist. I once ran across a ad that said complete 200 gallon tank for 200 bucks, than when I emailed the guy he gave me demensions of a 55 gallon tank. So ask for plenty of pictures and ask alot of questions before traveling to look at it.

Car audio equipment. He bought a new car almost a year ago and has been working on the audio himself. So he buys parts here and there I guess.

In this case probably stolen parts then:ROFL:
Not ragging on your friend at all-I'm just basing it on him buying stuff from people in a shady part of town ;)

And I agree, YBS sliders are still pretty cool. A little less common than their red-eared cousins, but still really cheap. My little (well relatively little since he's male) YBS is awesome. He begs for food worse than any other pet I've ever had-it's hilarious. He's so busy almost climbing up the tank glass that he actually misses the pellets hitting the water and I have to tap my finger on the glass down at the water line to get him to notice his food
