That's true. Bichirs don't do well with copper.

Thank goodness my polys haven't been sick.

But my husband's angels were. I treated them with Ick Clear and an antibacterial.

They seem all better now. But it's been two weeks of pure hell, not knowing if they would all make it or not.

ok... so many replies :) sorry if i forget anyone...

the active ingrediant in the med is silver protienate. so not a copper based med. it doesnt list the ingrediants, but there is an info sheet on the range in the box. some of the other meds state if there is copper in them, and warns that some fish are intollerant. but not this one, so i guess we can rule that out.

i dont have the luxury of a quarrentine tank. i cant keep them in a box either, as i also have cats, and their good at fishin. just ask all my ex pond fish...

i was going to start with small fish and grow them into the new tank (now a 5' x 18" x 25". £525 all in, bargin!). i guess now i get to start over.

it probably was the new sen. but it was from the same batch as my originals, and they had always been fine.

but the good news is i still have my plec:headbang24-1 to slime disease so far:irked:, but i still have my pride... it think...
