I hope that you, your family, and everyone else who has been affected by this disaster stay safe.

Your bichirs should be fine as long as the temperature in their aquariums doesn't drop too far, too fast; the lack of filtration shouldn't bother them too much considering the fact that they can aerially respire.

Thanks again everyone for kind words.

I was mostly worried about the possibility of not being able to go home for a few days (with no power to the tanks) or at worst loosing my house to the tsunamis.

Thankfully my towns tsunami barriers witheld so I left the fish in the tank.
Gonna have to re- cycle 8 large tanks with fish in now though unfortunately.

BTW, I probably came across as having bad priorities, but wife and children were safely tucked away at the tsunami shelter on top of mountain.
