disc rot? substrate irritation? thoughts??

Ok thanks tank, yeah the fish store i picked him up at is a pretty well known store, but they hire douchebags that "know" what theyre talking about. Its such ignorance that feeds extinction IMO.

I siphon and "rake" the sand every water change, im just going to ride it out and see what happens. Also noticed something else odd, when my male breaths, only half of his body inflates i guess you would say, kinda like only one side is working. Any thoughts anyone??

If its the substrate, then its pretty common. If its the pattern, well, thats pretty normal. Someone asked about it yesterday or 2 days ago. My retic also has the the pattern under the disc too except it goes all around the ray.

i agree cause ive had 3 retics all with that pattern under the disc

That is some sort of bacterial infection.. If it was my ray I would treat with Binox from Jungle labs....
