Nice, although there isn't very much green, do you mean algae? I dont see much green there.

The green might go away with algae treatment
Although the discus and angles look nice together

Yes so the driftwood had some algae on it and gives the water a green hue so I’m hoping after several water changes it clears up. Thanks and they get along great

well the water change might not get rid of the algae if its stuck to the wood, might as well clean the wood during the water change

Thanks guys it’s probably just the reflection from the algae on the wood. I’ll try to scrub it off when I do my water changes. I also think the light has a yellowish tint to it. I’m going to order a LED automatic light soon.

I feel the greenish (or yellowish) hue, such as that given off by fluorescents, is nicer than the white light given by many LEDs. I have aquaria with both of each type and prefer the greener/yellowish hues. Unfortunately it is becoming difficult to get spare bulbs and parts to keep old fluorescents going. Also, of course led’s are more energy efficient but that is another story.

I use ordinary LED floodlights, on one tank they are 5000k, slightly warmer and less white than they daylight 6500k and plants do well. 3000k would be going too far the other way.

The fluorescent lights came with the tank but they flicker a little bit. I rather run LED lol I will look into the floodlights. I like the light being bright enough to where I can see how clear my water is. Maybe it’s a clean freak in me. I do plenty water changes and over filter my tanks because I enjoy seeing my water clear so right now it’s hurting me to watch lol
