Any questions more.
How heat the water? I not see heaters in your tanks :screwy::screwy::nilly:

How clean trash and food of tanks?

okay, if you build this, take the pipe coming FROM the pump to the tanks, cut it, put in a T, one pipe to the tanks and 1 to the drain. Make a valve to the tanks and 1 to the drain. Normal the one to the drain is closed, to the tanks open.
If you change those you can drain your filter, if done, refill your sump, switch the valves and your up an running again,
Then, in this way, only able empty the filter, but not possible empty the tanks. You can not empty the tanks below the hole of drop of water???

Sorry, I only speak a little English

Greetings

Raul

You got it Raul, that's how it works.

1. We don't use heaters, the whole fish house is heated up to +/- 83F and the tanks stay on 84-86F

2. 2 or 3 times (depends on when I've time) we vacuum all tanks.

3. we don't do that, you can vacuum the water out but for us a water change on the filter is enough.

4. Don't worry my friend for a Spanish guy you're doing not to bad :ROFL:

Maybe not economic but I never trust heaters, when catching Discus they are in your way and yes, electric is expensive here.

We use a tube with at the end a pipe to vacuum the tanks,

Hans

Hello Hans.

Do not use UV lamp to sterilize the water? Stendker uses them in his factory with a good result.

Raul,

I don't use them. Simply because 90% of my Discus are sold to shops and those have to resell them again to private people. If I keep them on UV I always have the feeling they are lesser hmmmmm how to say ...... "hardy"
I like to keep them under circumstances as they are kept at the shops and most don't use UV,

Hans
